Source check on June 13, 2026: JR Miyajima Ferry showed normal operation and the Otorii approach route from Miyajimaguchi 9:10 to 16:10, with route changes possible during high tide. Recheck on the day you travel.

Route A: 6 hours in Hiroshima

Hiroshima Station -> Peace Memorial Park. Use streetcar or taxi depending on luggage and heat. Map: open route search.

A-Bomb Dome, Cenotaph, Peace Flame, Children’s Peace Monument. Keep the pace quiet and respectful.

Museum decision. If you have emotional space and time, enter the museum. If not, visit the National Peace Memorial Hall or Rest House and continue outside.

Hondori lunch. Covered arcade, cafes, okonomiyaki and toilets nearby. Bring cash backup.

Choose one calm add-on: Shukkeien for a garden reset, Hiroshima Castle for a central history stop, or return to the station.

Fits: short stays, first-time visitors, solo travelers, couples. Budget: about 3,000-6,000 yen plus museum/admission choices.

Day 1: central Hiroshima

Day 2: Miyajima

Check JMA and ferry status early, go to Miyajimaguchi, cross by ferry, visit Itsukushima Shrine, Omotesando, Daisho-in or Mount Misen, return before you are tired.
